Athletics: Record-breaking 125 student-athletes named to GNAC Academic All-Conference Team
WINTHROP, Mass. - ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù placed a record-shattering 125 student-athletes on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The 125 honored student-athletes continues the ascension of honorees per year for ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, after 117 landed on the Academic All-Conference Team last year and 114 the year prior. This season marks the third-straight year where over 100 Cadets received Academic All-Conference Team accolades since 98 earned the distinction in 2021-22.
Representatives hailed from all 15 GNAC sports offered at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù. Baseball led the way for ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù with 17 members on the 2023-24 list, while women's lacrosse saw 14 players honored, the highest among women's programs. There are 128 overall recipients, with three multi-sport athletes receiving honors.
²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù's 125 recipients ranks third among GNAC schools, trailing Lasell University's 139 and Saint Joseph's College of Maine's 132 honorees.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and be at least a sophomore.
